Tonic Window Box Die Set Card

Best Friends!

Been playing with my Tonic Pretty Pliazza Window Box Die Set. Hope you like the card I made.

To make this card you will need the following items:-
1  6"x 6"  (15cm x15cm) White Blank Card
1519e Marbled Mosaic Embossing Folder
1561e Pretty Piazza Window Box Die Set
1564e Window Box Slit Die Set
1055E Fairy Wishes Illustrated Paper Pack
1 Best Friend Die Cut Tag and a Die Cut Flower
1  6"x 6" (15cm x 15cm) piece of Craft Perfect Coral Pink Card
2 pieces of White Card and 2 pieces of Coral Pink Card
3"x 6" (8cm x 15cm)
Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral Distress Ink
Pink Ribbon Bow
Pearl Bead for centre of the flower
Embossing & Die Cutting Machine
Glue

With your piece of 6 x 6" Coral Pink Card cut a slither all the way around so when you place this card on your 6"x 6" White Card Blank you have a white border all around the edge.
Take the Marbled Mosaic Embossing Folder and your Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. Open up the embossing folder and ink one side then place the Coral Pink Card on the top. Using an embossing machine run your folder and card through and leave to dry.
Taking your Pretty Piazza Window Box Die Set and your White Card 3"x 6"- die cut the two pieces out and then do the same for the back with the Coral Pink Card see picture, Then you will need to make two slits with your Window Box Slit Die Set one on your white card and another on your front panel. If you get stuck you can always refer to Tonic's great instructions on their die packets.
Glue the back panel tabs onto your embossed Coral Pink Card making sure you then secure your Coral Pink Card onto the White Card Blank. Make sure the slits on your card and panels are ok and secure.
I placed a flower over the join and a pearl in the centre. Cut out the fairies from the Fairy Wishes Paper Pack and glued them into position. Placed the Best Friends Tag into position and then add the pink ribbon bow.
 Have fun and keep crafting!

Tonic Die Cut Card

Have a Beautiful Day!

Been playing with one of my new Tonic circle frame dies. I love to incorporate my sewing in with my card making - so this was my chance to do so. Hope you like the card I made.

To make this card you will need the following Tonic dies :-
1227E Have a Beautiful Day Circle frame die set
1216E Harrop Layering Card blanks die set
191E Thinking of You Essential die set
673N Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops (Gloss)
667N Red Berry Nuvo Crystal  Drops (Gloss)
650N Ebony black Nuvo Crystal Drops
Yellow and Red Sewing Cotton
Small sewing needle
White A4 300gsm card
Red 216gsm Weave Textured card
Printed papers from Debbie Moore's 'Floral Boutique'  (Papercraftng CD Rom)
Glue and Foam pads
Red and White spotted ribbon

My card I made from the white cardstock with my Harrop Layering Card Blank dies. The size of which is 6" x 6" or 15cms x 15cms. I also cut out my sewing parts with the white card.
Next sew along the outer circle with the red sewing cotton in a running stitch. Sew in the holes on the main die front using the red and yellow sewing cotton. I used a single strand of sewing cotton throughout the design.
From the red cardstock cut your 'Have a Beautiful Day' sentiment, the loopy edge circle and the corner embellishments out.
From your printed papers cut one circle a little larger than the red loopy one out. Then with the Harrop dies cut out a background and a piece for the front of your sewing part to match. A side piece also.
Make a bow with the red and white spotted ribbon.

To make the card up see the photo above. I only used the foam pads in the centre of my matting and layering so it was not too bulky. After I had finished putting the card together I added the Nuvo drops.
Have fun and keep crafting!

Quilted Square Sewing Bag

Handy Square Reversible Sewing Bag!

To make this handy bag you will need :-
Two fat quarters of the red material
Two fat quarters of the black material
Four red round buttons
Black cotton

Cut out from the above fabric : -
Five - six and a half inch squares for the outside of the bag
Five - six and a half inch squares for the inside of the bag
Five - six and a half inch squares of wadding (not too thick)
Four - six and half inch squares for the pockets on the outside
Four - six and half inch squares for the pockets on the inside
Two - four and half inch by fourteen and a half inch strips for your handles

When you have cut out your fabric you need to fold your four pockets in half and tack them to the front of  your material. Do the same thing for the inside four pockets.
Sew the outside panels of the bag first - you can sew the wadding to the inside panels or outside as long as you have a sandwich of material - wadding - material. I attached mine to the inside panels. Attach the bottom aswell. All you are doing is making two boxes.
Sew your two bag handles - I attached my handles to the inside of the bag some of the ladies attached them afterwards the choice is yours (See photo's below).
When attaching the handles to the inside make sure they are laying correctly as you might catch them when sewing the bag together.
With right sides together. Sew around the top of your bag leaving a space to turn the bag inside out.
Turn the bag inside out and stitch up the gap you left. Only do this after checking all is well with your bag and you are happy with it.
Press your bag and add the buttons.
Enjoy!

Using the Pop Up Box die and the white/purple cardstock - purple side facing cut out the box. Crease your fold lines.
Next from your pop up set cut out two strips for your centre designs to stick to. Also cut three size two squares and one size two retangle from your gold mirror card from the pop up set. Cut five balloons out and five bows - I used the gold and silver glitter card for this.
To make the Pop Up Box - fold down the flaps and glue the side of the box together. Glue the gold retangle to the back of the box and the three squares to the side flaps and the front flap. Fold the middle pieces for the items to adhere to and leave to dry.

Lastly cut out from the silver glitter card the sentiment Sparkle & Shine and place onto your box.
Add the balloons using the cardstock as string or you can use acetate strips the choice is yours. I added some red hearts and a white and silver ribbon around the box too.

Destination Cards

Destinations!

'Destinations' by Kathleen Francour - a twin CD-Rom Papercrafting Collection by Crafter's Companion.
I so enjoyed one rainy day crafting with this CD-Rom collection.

The above picture is of two cards I made using the Card Companions Japan & Asia selection.
I also used the Designer Inserts, Embellishments and Sentiments selecitons on Disc 1.
Below I made another card from the Card Companions The World & Australia selection on Disc 1. I again printed off extra selections as above. Tonic's Novo liquid pearls were used on the buttons and 300gsm C6 White Scalloped Cards & Envelopes.

Next I printed off some Wine Labels for my small bottle of mead, some Favour Boxes for some sweet treats and a Trinket Box 1 for a desk tidy all from Disc 2. I chose Australia as my main selection as you can see in the photo below. All instructions for making these items can be found on the 'Destinations' CD-Roms.

Hope you enjoy the 'Destinations' Papercrafting CD-Roms as much as I have. There are alot more destinations for you to explore yourself. Have fun and keep crafting!
